Experience was new as it was my first time for a Bonsai class or any Bonsai group learning. I learned a lot from the method of teaching. Only one thing: at some point he was stuck in one or 2 groups because they required more help. However, I think time awareness allotted for each attendee is important so they don't feel left out. Overall, he knows his stuff and obviously a pro at this. I also love that I took home a beautiful work: my bonsai in a pot that I was allowed to choose. Yes, you get to choose your pot and your tree. My bonsai is is now sitting in my sun room. Thank you for the knowledge.

I’m a first-time bonsai owner and honestly didn’t know much about how to properly care for one. My bonsai had started losing leaves and branches, and I had no idea what was wrong. I reached out to Larry to see if I could repot it and learn more about taking care of it, and he went above and beyond to help me. I had actually tried repotting it myself and completely messed it up, but Larry patiently fixed it, provided the proper bonsai soil, and repotted it for me. He also gave me a ton of great advice about what to expect, how to care for it going forward, and how to keep it healthy. To top it all off, he even gave me a new bonsai, which I absolutely love! You can really tell that Larry cares about bonsai and genuinely wants to help people learn and succeed. As a first-time bonsai owner, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Thunderstruck Bonsai and Larry to anyone interested in bonsai, especially beginners. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had a wonderful time attending this event. It was a gift from my son and I am so thankful. Larry and his assistant (my apologies, I forgot his name), they both were hands on. They educated us and then they went around advising, helping and making us feel comfortable doing something new. I love my Jade Bonsai, so glad I was introduced to this beautiful hobby.

We had a great time at yesterday's Bonsai and Brews event at Sun Lab Brewing in Bradenton! It was a unique, hands-on learning experience and surpassed our expectations. The guys were so experienced, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I highly recommend attending one of these workshops if you have the opportunity. You won't be disappointed!

What an amazing experience!! Attended the Bonsai and Brews workshop at Yuengling Draft Haus a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Larry & Justin guided every Bonsai enthusiast with patience! They explained the basics of bonsai using drawings and hands on experience. The workshop was fairly large sized and these guys managed to answer any and all questions and also sat down with us while we fumbled with the shaping , repotting etc. This concept of workshops at breweries is such a great idea! My husband enjoyed the beers while I snipped away at that jade plant & turned it into a beautiful little bonsai which I have proudly managed to keep alive through the unusually harsh winter this year. I highly recommend this experience! Thank you Thunderstruck Bonsai.
